Our story
Toys for Joy began in 1986, when members of the REALTORS® family started collecting toys for the Christmas Committee of Anoka and helping hand them out. The Christmas Committee’s job was to make sure no neighbor went without food during the holidays, and volunteers from churches, clubs and the community pitched in year after year.
Today Toys for Joy is a 501(c)(3) charitable program serving families throughout greater Anoka County. We help families who might otherwise be unable to provide gifts and a holiday meal for their children.
The committee is made up entirely of volunteers. We hold fundraisers all year and host toy drop sites across the county during the holidays, and every dollar and every gift goes back to local families.
Gifts for kids
Children under 18 receive gifts chosen from their wish list, plus food for a Christmas meal.
